How It All Began...

Kenneth J Nelan Vestments began in 2003 with a clear mission: craft quality vestments at affordable prices for clergy and churches. We specialized in creating matching chasubles, stoles, and bishop miters; each piece was designed and handcrafted to reflect the beauty and reverence of liturgical traditions. Every vestment balanced function and inspiration, serving clergy across denominations.
In 2009, we expanded to include vestment repair and restoration, driven by a desire to preserve sacred heritage. From rescuing pieces destined for destruction to restoring intricate embroidery, we gave new life to cherished garments so they could continue their sacred purpose.
In 2015, our minsitry closed when Fr. Kenn transitioned into a new vocation as a licensed professional counselor. The formal ministry ended, but its legacy remains in hundreds of vestments crafted and restored with care, reverence, and commitment to quality.
A significant inventory of completed vestments and materials remains, many never offered for sale. These items are now carefully cataloged and available through the Store at Sacred Wandering, offering clergy and churches the opportunity to acquire timeless vestments that embody sacred craftsmanship.
In addition to our collection of vestments, The Bazaar offers a treasure trove of unique items that reflect our love of creativity, craftsmanship, and exploration. This special section of the store features handcrafted jewelry by Jan, whose artistry transforms precious materials into stunning, one-of-a-kind pieces. Each creation tells a story, blending inspiration from nature, faith, and the journeys we’ve taken together.
Beyond jewelry, The Bazaar is home to an eclectic assortment of finds from our travels. From meaningful trinkets to rare and beautiful items discovered along the way, every piece carries a sense of adventure and connection.
The Books features titles from our publishing ministry. From theological exploration to mental health resources, these books reflect our commitment to the intersection of faith, healing, and justice. Whether you seek depth for your personal journey, tools for your practice, or insights to broaden your understanding, each volume offers an invitation to grow, question, and transform.
